The unpredictable events in the changing weather due to climate change and other natural forces have led to some hazardous situations, even disasters, for some populations and this has led to the development of life saving weather alert software like the WeatherBug Alert 1.3 program. This software is especially useful for you if you live in a weather zone in a US location where there's a chance of tornados, severe thunderstorms, heat wave, or flash flood conditions. WeatherBug Alert is very easy to install, it sits unobtrusively in your task bar, and it will provide you with weather alerts on your computer as soon as the US National Weather Station issues them.
Clicking on the WeatherBug icon in your task bar provides you with access to the WeatherBug website where you can view hourly and extended forecasts as well as the latest radar and satellite images. By simply right clicking on the live temperature in the tray, you can select the settings you need for your level of alerts. For example, the program's default setting is set to Alert Level 3, which notifies you about Tornado Warnings, Flash Flood Warnings, and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. You can choose the warning levels you want by using a slide bar. Right clicking also enables you to change locations and tracking stations, your readings from Fahrenheit to Celsius, and the color of your tray. Using the search option, you can also check the weather conditions in other states or cities using two letter postal abbreviations or ZIP codes. |
